¡No Me Digas! Britney Spears to star in NBC show?

According to Omg! Britney Spears wants to star on the NBC show, Smash (Via PerezHilton). The new musical drama premiered a couple weeks ago, and has been doing alright on the ratings board. Apparently, Spears has "met with the producers" about a recurring role in the new series (Omg!) I wouldn't be surprised, but I like the idea of her on Modern Family better. A while ago, it was rumored that she could possibly be on the award winning comedy. There was even a hashtag trend on Twitter called something like #GetBritneyonModernFamily. This wouldn't be too far from home for the singer because way back when she was on How I Met Your Mother  and she was pretty funny. So we'll see what happens.
