New Music Tuesday: M.I.A.

A year after dropping her hit single "Bad Girls", M.I.A. is back with her newest single "Bring the Noise". The song will serve as the lead single from her upcoming album Matangi set to release this fall. 

In an interview with BBC Radio 1, M.I.A. spoke out about the single. “It was written in lots of different circumstances, but I guess it’s coming out at a time where I think in America it’s kinda cool to hear something like this. It’s in keeping with what I released before, so I’m gonna gradually ease people into the new sound as the album goes on” (BBC Radio). "Bring the Noise" is definitely what we're used to hearing from M.I.A. It's drum-heavy, and a whole lot of noise (no pun intended). Probably not my favorite from M.I.A.
