Wednesday Buzz: Nick Jonas & Demi Lovato Form Record Label

I think this is just amazing. Longtime friends and song collaborators, Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas are now business partners. The two singers along with with manager Phil McIntyre are launching a new record label, Safehouse Records (Idolator).

The new label is partnered with Island Records, the same label that Jonas is currently signed to, as well as Hollywood Records (owned by Disney) which is Lovato's label. According to Billboard, Safehouse Records will be releasing Demi Lovato's upcoming fifth album and plans to sign new artists.

Lovato says of the upcoming business venture "I’ve worked closely with both Nick and Phil for years and we share the same point of view when it comes to making music. It’s incredibly exciting to be part of this new company where I’m in control of all aspects of my career. I can’t wait to share what we’re working on!” (Idolator).

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas are two talented young artists, so I expect nothing less when it comes to signing new talent. Also, am I the only one getting excited at the talk of another album by Demi? Yes, please!
