"The Manzoni family, a notorious mafia clan, is relocated to Normandy, France under the witness protection program, where fitting in soon becomes challenging as their old habits die hard" (IMDb).
When I first saw the trailer for the mob comedy executive produced by Martin Scorsese, I got pretty excited. The film is based on the novel titled Malavita, which the film originally titled before being renamed The Family for the U.S.. It looks like it'll be a hit especially with a nod-worthy cast including Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer--haven't seen her on the big screen in a while--and Tommy Lee Jones. Director Luc Besson's filmography has been pretty shaky in the past, but here's to hoping this film will be one of the better ones he's directed. Like many movie trailers do, this one gives away a lot of what will probably be the best moments in the film. Guess you'll have to see for yourself.
The Family opens in theaters September 13. Check out the trailer below. What do you think?

I love...love...love DeNiro, but he keeps playing these kooky roles. It looks interesting, but not enough to pay all the money you have at the theaters.
