Joss Stone + Via officialcharts |
Joss co-wrote this song with reggae musician Dennis Bovell. Compared to her previous work, the song definitely has a different sound to it. Joss Stone told Billboard, "This song is full of all sorts of influences, with fiddles, gospel choir and different rhythms including baiao and calypso" (Billboard). She continues, "There are no rules to being happy in this world of music. This song is about letting go of your worries-- be free, have a dance, don't waste your days worrying about what might be. Life is what you make it. Goodness is bright!" (Billboard). The song is very appropriate for the summer. It's carefree with a rhythm that just makes me want to dance in the sun.
I love me some Joss Stone and I'm about three albums behind. Water For Your Soul (available for pre-order on iTunes) doesn't drop until July 17, so I have plenty of time to catch up. Check out "The Answer" below. What do you think?
