"A look at love through the eyes of five interconnected couples experiencing the thrills and surprises of having a baby, and ultimately coming to understand the universal truth that no matter what you plan for, life doesn't always deliver what's expected." (IMDb)

Interconnected story lines seems to be the thing now ever since New Year's Eve/Valentine's Day. Will that end up being the new movie formula for romantic comedies? Anyways, what's a romantic comedy without Jennifer Lopez? I grew up watching her movies. Although I will say, they all started to blend into one for me. My favorite will always be The Wedding Planner, and of course Enough. But all that aside, I think I'd rather be dragged to the theater to see this versus The Lucky One any day. I've heard that The Five-Year Engagement bombed at the box office, and part of that is because of Think Like A Man. So, maybe this film will do better? I'm not sure how original the humor is in this movie, but screenwriter Shauna Cross is on the film. Cross also wrote the screenplay for the roller-derby flick, Whip It, which did fairly well. So there's hope for this one.

What to Expect When You're Expecting hits theaters May 18th. Check out the trailer below. What do you think?

  1. I love Whip It...it was the Sundance-movie-that-could + everything seems to be a spin off of The Hangover and trying to capture that formula...which Bridesmaids did successfully..and yes I'm waiting for you to take me to see Think Like a Man so I can have my say...
