Stacie Orrico: "Catch Me If You Can"
Stacie Orrico, singer/songwriter made a comeback and I didn't even know it! She is a contemporary Christian R&B/Pop singer. Many people know her for her debut single "Stuck", which came from her self-titled debut album. I've always loved her vocals and her music. I was surprised to find out that she was a Christian singer until I actually began to listen to her music more. In February the singer covered The Fugees' "Ready or Not" with The Fray, included as a bonus track from their studio album Scars and Stories. The cover got many people talking about Stacie, as they should be!
In April, Stacie independently released her new single "Catch Me If You Can" featuring the Gabe Cummins Orchestra. Orrico is a jazz fan as she's previously stated that the late Ella Fitzgerald was of her biggest inspirations. Apparently she's working a fourth studio album, but there's nothing official stating that, just hopeful fan sites. I loved this track the instant I heard it and had to buy it. It's a catchy song, with beautiful instrumentals by the Gabe Cummins Orchestra and Stacie's vocals are perfect. "Come and get it...catch me if you can..."
