Around the last week of September is when many of the new pilots will air. Here are some shows you may want to add to your Fall TV Lineup.
666 Park Avenue
(Sunday, September 30 at 10pm on ABC)
"Combine the eeriness of Lost with the ruthlessness of Desperate Housewives and you get this adaptation of Gabrielle Pierce's book series" (TV Guide). I don't think they could of said it better. Here we have a supernatural thriller with ABC alums Terry O'Quinn (Lost) and Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives) as the sinister owners of a haunted apartment building. Dave Annable and Rachael Taylor, the innocent couple from the Midwest get hired as resident managers. But the couple will soon find they've been lured there and here's the catch: the residents have all made deals with The Devil to have their deepest desires fulfilled.
This could be scary, good, I think. TV Guide hopes it doesn't turn into another Eastwick--ouch! I actually liked that show too until it got cancelled. It's too early to tell now, but ABC always turns out some good dramas. Will you be tuning in on Sunday the 30th?
Arrow
(Wednesday, October 10 at 8pm on CW)
"The television series iteration of the DC Comics character stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, an eccentric billionaire who was recently discovered alive on a deserted island after having been presumed dead for five years. Queen returns to Starling City and begins moonlighting as a cimr fighter" (Collider).
Well, this sounds promising but I just can't get into the comics turned movie/TV show adaptations. While critics have been marking this show as buzz-worthy, I'm not sure if I'll have time for it on my Fall TV Line Up. I guess I'll wait for the reception after its airtime. It seems like the perfect show for the CW and will have every bit of juicy drama as Gossip Girl but will center around some action like I've seen in the networks other shows. Do you think Arrow will be a hit or a miss?
Elementary
(Thursday, September 25 at 10pm on CBS)
"Elementary stars Jonny Lee Miller as detective Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson in a modern-day drama about a crime-solving duo that cracks the NYPD's most impossible cases. Following his fall from grace in London and a stint in rehab, eccentric Sherlock escapes to Manhattan where his wealthy father forces him to live with his worst nightmare - a sober companion, Dr. Watson" (CBS).
Love that CBS is putting a twist on the classic Holmes character. I love even more that Watson is a woman! I've always been a fan of Lucy Liu and love that she's making her return to the small screen. Whether your a fan of the PBS series, the older films or the newer films with Robert Downey Jr. I think if you've never been engrossed in the Sherlock Holmes adventures, now is your time to start. So tune in Thursday, September 25.
Also Buzzworthy:
Revolution (Monday, September 17 @ 10pm, NBC)
"Leave it to J.J. Abrams (Lost) and Eric Kripke (Supernatural) to come up with a mythology-heavy drama. Set in a post-apocalyptic future where there is no electricity, the series stars Elizabeth Mitchell, Tracy Spiridakos, Billy Burke and Giancarlo Esposito as a group of people struggling to figure out how the technology vanished and who holds the figurative power among the survivors" (TV Guide). With a great mind like J.J. Abrams behind the show it's bound to be successful right?

Last Resort (Thursday, September 27 @ 8pm, ABC)
"This Shawn Ryan thriller starring Andre Braugher as the leader of a renegade submarine crew that goes on the run after defying an order to fire nuclear missiles. They find sanctuary at a NATO base where they declare themselves the world's smallest nuclear nation" (TV Guide). Let's hope ABC can break the cycle of the "cursed" 8pm time slot (Charlie's Angels, FlashForwawrd, My Generation).
Also Buzzed about: Nashville (ABC), The Mindy Project (FOX) and Ben and Kate (FOX). Check out TV Guide to learn about more on the new shows airing soon this Fall.
Luckily, my favorites are returning this fall and I'm super excited about the upcoming seasons for: Community, Modern Family, Glee, The Vampire Diaries and New Girl. While I love watching my summer TV, nothing compares to the drama-filled, action-packed shows that are coming up.
So, What will you be watching this fall?
