This is huge news. The release of Jackson's "long-awaited new album will undoubtedly be one of the musical highlights of 2015", said Jon Cohen, EVP of Recorded Music at BMG Chrysalis US (E!). And I'm in agreement with him.
Janet Jackson is excited to start working again. "Thank you to the talented team at BMG, my new artistic home, the "Escapade" singer said. "The opportunity to be creative in music and every form of entertainment has great potential here" (E!).
Janet Jackson has accomplished so much. She's proved that she's a global artist with over 160 million albums sold worldwide, and not to mention her huge influence on popular culture today.
Jackson's last album, Discipline was released in 2008. Three of her albums, Control, Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 and janet.—according to the RIAA are among the Top 100 certified albums. Also, Janet's Rhythm Nation 1814 and The Velvet Rope albums were part of Rolling Stone 's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" list in 2013.
Are you excited Janet's making a comeback?
