New Music Tuesday: Janelle Monáe feat. Erykah Badu!

I jumped in my seat when I first heard about this. Janelle Monáe returns three years after her successful debut album TheArchAndroid with the song "Q.U.E.E.N" featuring Erykah Badu. Seeing this two ladies featured in one song is definitely a treat. The track will serve as the lead single off of her upcoming album The Electric Lady set to be released later this year. Monáe posted to her Twitter account about the single, "'Q.U.E.E.N'. was inspired by private discussions between Erykah and me. It is meant to make you JAM. DANCE. FUNK OUT. and dialogue later...". And this song does just that. I was jammin' on my way to work! The song is funky and up-tempo and just fun to listen to. I just love the sounds of Janelle Monáe's music so I'm very excited for her album. 

The singer/songwriter also tweeted "Every album is a book. Every song is a chapter. The next book is called The Electric Lady. The first chapter is called 'Q.U.E.E.N'". LOVE IT!
