"Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse." (IMDb)
I love that Disney is creating a female heroine. And it's Pixar, so I know visually the movie will be amazing. This is Disney's first female protagonist, well it took them long enough! I've never been a fan of the Pixar movie Cars or its sequel. I just don't care for talking inanimate objects, with the exception of Toy Story, duh! Apparently, co-director Brenda Chapman had been working on this project for 6 years and was dropped from the production. This could be a bad thing, thus turning the movie into your typical Disney film. Chapman will still receive credit, but this means the story is going to be completely different. Either way I'm thinking this is going to be by second favorite Disney princess and I love the fact that Princess Merida is Scottish. "If you had the chance to change your fate, would ya?"
This looks like it'll be the perfect family movie for the summer. Hey, I may even break down to see it. Brave opens in theaters June 22nd. Check out the trailer below. What do you think?
