Friday Night Movie: Struck by Lightning
"After being struck and killed by lightning, a young man recounts the way he blackmailed his fellow classmates into contributing to his literary magazine." (IMDb)
Look out all you Glee haters, Chris Colfer is moving on to bigger and better things as he makes his debut as screenwriter. Film-making may be Colfer's next move. I posted last year that the Glee star had a screenplay underway and now we'll be able to see the final product. I'm excited, I love a good high school comedy especially that of which has already been compared to everyone's favorite high school comedies. I think this will be a fresh and new take on the genre and I can't wait to see what Colfer has in store. It will be fun to see his character narrate the story from the grave. And to all you Gleeks out there, if you love Colfer on the hit Fox show then I'm sure you're in for a treat with this flick.
I'm excited. Struck by Lightning opens in theaters next weekend, January 11th. Check out the trailer below. Enjoy!

I saw this On Demand and it looked really interesting. I didn't know that he was struck by lightning and recounting a story. I just knew that kids were writing a literary mag.
