¡No Me Digas! "Mean Girls" Musical in the works?

Tina Fey is looking to make a musical based off of the movie, Mean Girls, according to Gossip Cop.

Fey, who currently co-stars on the hit NBC show 30 Rock, wrote and acted in the 2004 hit movie that starred Lindsay Lohan. Fey told E! News at the SAG Awards this past Sunday that she and her husband (music composer) Jeff Richmond are interested in creating the project.

On the red carpet, when asked if this movie-to-stage adaption was possible Fey said "Maybe! We want to. I would love to" (Gossip Cop). Say what?! She also commented "I think Paramount's on board" (Gossip Cop). Does this mean it's a done deal?

Tina Fey joke about Mariah Carey playing Amy Poehler's character in the musical. Recently on American Idol, Maria Carey and Nicki Minaj were talking about Mean Girls.

Uh-oh. First The Spice Girls, now this? What do you think of the idea of a Mean Girls musical?
