Now this came as quite as a surprise to me. R&B songstress Jhené Aiko and rapper Big Sean have come together for a project. The duo have named themselves TWENTY88 and have released an album under that same name.

This is not the first time the duo have collaborated together. They joined forces back in 2013 for Big Sean's single "Beware" and again in 2015 for "I Know" from Dark Sky Paradise. I think this was such a smart move for the two. I've enjoyed everything I've heard so far. The album consists of eight tracks that go through the highs and lows of a relationship, telling that story "with insights into conflict, memories, love, sex and more" (Flaunt).

This is the perfect blend of R&B/Hip-Hop that I've been waiting for.

In an interview with Flaunt Jhené spoke about the project. "Music now doesn't really cater to the feelings of a real relationship. It's all about trapping and bragging. I feel like this project is something that's needed right now". That's right, speak on it girl! She continued, "Especially a whole project, is just good for people to see. That duality is a perfect combination. It gets turned up, then it gets melodic, then it gets vibed out. It touches all these things, but it sounds very cohesive" (Flaunt).

The chemistry is definitely all up in this album. And that article on Flaunt is definitely a good read so please check it out if you have the time.

TWENTY88 was released exclusively on Tidal to stream and now is available on iTunes.

I just love it when artists collab, we need to see more of this. Period.

You can peep this on Spotify as well. Enjoy :) And keep your eyes peeled for a visual soon.
