Sofia Vergara is engaged to Nick Loeb, a friend of the couple confirmed with Gossip Cop. Vergara was seen wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger in a Twitter photo that was posted Monday.

News of the couple's engagement was first reported by WonderWall, says Gossip Cop.

The Modern Family star was reported to be in Mexico yesterday, celebrating her 40th birthday with friends and family. Loeb popped the question during a visit to the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, according to Gossip Cop.

Vergara and Loeb began to rekindle their relationship this summer after having split up in May.

Sofia Vergara has been married once before, to Joe Gonzalez. The two have a 19-year-old son.
