"Former getaway driver Charlie Bronson jeopardizes his Witness Protection Plan identity in order to help his girlfriend get to Los Angeles. The feds and Charlie's former gang chase them on the road." (IMDb)
Dax Shepard returns to the big screen as his show Parenthood has become very successful. Acting as co-director to this film and with another under his belt (Brother's Justice), there's probably more success coming his way. Although the cast for this film probably makes people skeptical about whether or not they'll want to see it, I'm sure the presence of Bradley Cooper will change a lot of people's minds. The movie is still a wild card as far as theatrical success goes. I think Dax Shepard is setting up perfect standards for DIY filmmakers, for a low-budget, yet successful movie. I think this film will be worth your while, "He puts everything on the line in this low-budget (under $100 million," he insists) digital movie, from his wife Kristen Bell (Gossip Girl) to his two beloved cars, which miraculously survive the film's rigorous action sequences" according to Thompson On Hollywood.
Hit and Run opens in theaters August 22nd. Check out the trailer below. What do you think?
