It's official. Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, and Russell Crowe are all set to star in the movie musical, Les Misérables. Hathaway has been cast as Fantine, and rumored to have beaten out the original actresses who played the role on Broadway. Hugh Jackman will be playing Jean Valjean in the adaptation, and Crowe will play inspector Javert.
A release date has even been given, December 7, 2012. And it looks like that won't be the only upcoming big movie being released for Anne Hathaway. The Dark Knight Rises is also said to be released next summer. Make yo money girl!
Anyways, I remember seeing Les Misérables in the 9th grade. It was amazing, and it made me cry (well I'm just a big baby). But this should be interesting, because the first musical-made-movie version of this wasn't so great. So maybe this will prove to be better. What do you think?
