Leah Labelle gained popularity as a YouTube sensation with her cover videos by artists like Solange, Musiq Soulchild, and Beyoncé. If LaBelle looks familiar, that's because she was the twelfth place finalist on season 3 of American Idol. After hearing her cover of "Energy", Keri Hilson hired LaBelle as a background vocalist. Since then she's toured with Robin Thicke, Jordin Park's and other artists as a background vocalist. LaBelle is currently working on the release of her debut studio album.
Here we have her single, "Sexify" which was released on iTunes. She has some powerful vocals that are sultry and fit well with the R&B vibe her song is giving off. It's a nice lounge beat that I can imagine hearing out in a club or even just grooving to by yourself or in the car.
