Demi Lovato & Selena Gomez |
The 2011 Video Music Awards hosted by MTV took place this past Sunday in Los Angeles. And the event was definitely a well...interesting night. From Gaga's alter ego, to Beyoncé's pregnancy, to amazing performances by Adele and a tribute to Amy Winehouse by Bruno Mars. It was quite an evening. And a successful evening I might add, seeing as how Kanye West didn't interrupt anyone!
I actually wanted to watch it on it's premiere night, for the performances, and for the Britney Spears tribute. Although I know like cable channels usually do, it will air again, and again...and several more times to make sure everyone has seen it. Some people didn't think the show was that great. I'll admit, it wasn't as exciting as I remember them being (but I'm thinking of the older ones. Like Britney Spears and NSYNC putting on a good performance old). I loved that Kevin Hart was there, he would of been an awesome host, I thought. Maybe one award show per year is enough. Seeing as how he previously hosted the 2011 BET awards this past summer.
