"A young girl (Madison) sent to live with her father (Pearce) and his new girlfriend (Holmes) discovers creatures in her new home who want to claim her as one of their own." (IMDB)
Troy Nixey who is a comic book creator, got the call from Guillermo del Toro to direct this remake in part because of his short film, Latchkey's Lament. This collaboration will probably lead to some creepy visuals. Ever since seeing Pans Labyrinth, and Orphanage, I know Guillermo del Toro is capable of creating very disturbing looking creatures. So this should be a good creepy movie. But scary movies are my fav so I'll be making an attempt to see it soon. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark opens August 26, the same day Colombiana hits theaters.
