The return of THE FLINTSTONES will feature Seth MacFarlane's (Family Guy, American Dad) modern-day take on the lives of the Flintstones and the Rubbles, two middle-class famlies living with comtemporary conveniences in the dinosaur-era town of Bedrock. The new version of the show, like the original, will center around the hard-headed FRED FLINTSTONE, and best friend BARNEY RUBBLE. Fred lives with his wife WILMA, daughter PEEBLES and pet dinosaur DINO, while Barney lives with his wife BETTY and son BAMM-BAMM.
THE FLINTSTONES will be co-produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Warner Bros. Television. MacFarlane and Dan Palladino (Gilmore Girls) will serve as the executive producers of the series and co-writers for the pilot. Voice actors for the series will be announced soon.

I can't wait to see if this will really come to pass + I should be interesting + but it wont be as good as the original.
