The B-Side introduced Little Mix as a featured artist after their X-Factor win.
After releasing "Black Magic", "Love Me Like You", and "Secret Love Song" featuring Jason Derulo, these four fierce ladies from the UK -- Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards -- have decided to keep the pop hits coming with "Hair" as the next single off of their third album.
I've been a fan of Little Mix since day one. I own all their albums. I think Get Weird is fantastic and sooo underrated. "Hair" is actually one of my fav tracks from the album. Their music has been doing well in the UK charts, but hasn't had the same hype here in the U.S. Could that be because of a certain other all girl group that I won't mention? *sips her tea*
Anyways, in order to make the song more radio-friendly, Little Mix has enlisted Sean Paul to give the song some "oompf'", if you will. Sean Paul has given us classic dancehall hits in the past and now that he's on the official single version of the song, he'll probably be featured in the music video as well (which will hopefully be coming soon). Now, I usually feel some sort of way when a song is re-released and another artist is added for no reason. I personally like the song as is, but hey, it's a business and you gotta do you what you gotta do. Smart move on their part. And you know what? The song doesn't sound too bad with him on it either.
It's catchy, it's fun. I'm hoping this does well on the U.S charts for them. "'Now I feel brand new/this chick is over you". It's a sassy, fun-time-with-your-girls song about getting over a guy. LOVE IT.
After listening to this version a few times, I got into it. I can't wait for the music video! You can listen to "Hair" featuring Sean Paul below. GET INTO IT.
"Switch it up, switch it up!
